Camford v Tumble away PDF Print E-mail

An impeccable minute silence was observed for respected young local football coach Kemi Adamson who sadly passed away this week aged just 45. Camford AFC thoughts are with Kemi's family.

After a tough home game last weekend which we eventually won 5-2, this weeks reverse fixture is a cup game and another tough game for the boys.

Looking for a quick start on a tricky pitch, we had a couple of early warning shots well saved & blocked before a thumping shot from Harri is parried out for Josh to tuck away for 1-0 on 13mins. With that early dominance paying off, Harri again tried his luck from distance and his shot took a lucky deflection and looped over the keeper for 2-0 on 17min. Tumble hit back with long range shot themselves for 2-1 on 19mins before another shot from Harri is saved only for Alex to continue his goalscoring run to smash home the rebound for 3-1 on 24min. Tumble wouldn't lay down and instantly replied with a screamer from distance that flew into the top bin which gave Connor no chance for a 3-2 score...not to be outdone, Harvey got on the scoresheet with a tap in on 26mins before Harri got his second..going on a mazy run from the halfway line to go 1 v 1 with the keeper and a clinical finish on 30mins for a 5-2 halftime score.

With a handful of changes made at the break, the 2nd half was more even until Cai scored on 45mins with an excellent finish for 6-2 and Alex wrapped things up with his 2nd on 70mins with an another excellent low finish to seal a 7-2 win against a spirited Tumble team who pushed us hard over both games these last two weeks. A fine following on the sidelines showing great support made for an exciting atmosphere for the boys to play in.

Looking forward to league action against Llangennech next weekend to hopefully cement our place at the top of the league so plenty of hard work left and plenty of points to play for. Thanks for the support. Karl/Dean.
